Under Julie’s leadership, a team of women and men from diverse backgrounds bring their expertise to this restaurant, where fine dining, a warm welcome and efficient, friendly, multilingual service come together in perfect harmony. Zanzibar still exudes that ‘world traveller’ atmosphere that we love.
The cuisine is a fusion, striking a balance between Creole flavours and French haute cuisine.
The menu focuses on local produce from Martinique and the Caribbean Sea. A menu with an evocative name perfectly reflects this trend: ‘Caribbean Heritage’, featuring dishes that bear Zanzibar’s signature, such as the artisanal stuffed crab, the flavourful fish tartare, and the semi-cooked foie gras with aged rum.
Simmental beef fillet features on the menu, served with mushrooms from Le Robert, a gratin of local vegetables, and green pepper from Kaz à Vanilles. Lamb reared in Martinique by Mr Claude, or the day’s catch, are also worth trying.
When it comes to desserts, you’ll never tire of the blancmange made with organic local lemongrass or the brioche French toast with salted butter caramel.
As for the drinks, the wine list is excellent, as is the cocktail menu, perfectly paired with the dishes on offer.
Brunch is held regularly, announced on our calendar – we highly recommend it!
