Description

Mad Of Beer: local craft beers in Fort-de-France Based in the Bellevue neighbourhood of Fort-de-France, Mad Of Beer combines craft brewing with plants and fruits from Martinique. A blonde beer with passion fruit or atoumo, a spiced amber ale, a wheat beer with blessed thistle… an original range that invites you to experience beer in a new way, through a variety of herbal, fruity and spicy flavours. Mad Of Beer is available at various outlets across Martinique and offers several ways to find its creations on the island.

The passion fruit lager combines craft beer with this tropical fruit, whilst the atoumo lager showcases this plant, which is very common in Caribbean gardens.

Mad Of Beer also offers an amber ale withstar anise and cinnamon, as well as a wheat beer with blessed thistle, not to mention Le Matébis Dousin, the brand’s signature beer.

From the freshness of the fruit to the herbal and spicy notes, each recipe offers a new way to enjoy a craft beer with a Martinique twist. Some creations are seasonal, notably the ‘peyi’ redcurrant beer and the basil wheat beer.

Beers with no preservatives or additivesMad Of Beer beers are brewed using barley malt, hops and yeast, to which Gilles Priam adds local plants and fruits. Produced without preservatives or additives, they are bottle-fermented. Gilles develops the recipes himself, brews the beers and oversees the entire production process. Mad Of Beer also works with local partners and producers to source its raw materials and has introduced a bottle deposit scheme.
