In every village of Martinique, you will find a church to visit. Often original, with an architecture that blends the ancient and the ultra-modern, most Martinican churches were rebuilt after fires and natural disasters. Worth seeing among the oldest: that of Macouba (1667) with its boat-hull frame, that of Marin (1669) and that of Case-Pilote (1640). On the road to Balata, the Church of the Sacré Cœur , a miniature replica of the French basilica of Montmartre in Paris.
