A stay at La Pagerie, Tropical Garden Hotel ****

Immerse yourself in anunforgettable tropical experience at La Pagerie, Tropical Garden Hotel****, a small 4-star oasis nestled in the heart of Pointe du Bout in Les Trois-Ilets, Martinique.heart ofPointe du Boutin Les Trois-Ilets , Martinique, just a stone’s throw from the marina, Village Créole and all tourist activities.

In the heart of Pointe du Bout

The lush gardens, the swimming pool and the different areas form an elegant cocoon in which you’ll feel right at home, for a getaway or a vacation in the West Indies. There’s a relaxed, family atmosphere on site, and the staff are truly adorable and attentive.

So I decided to treat myself to achic tropical getaway fora weekend at this 4-star establishment, where the pool and many of the rooms have been superbly renovated. I can’t wait to discover the new face of this address, so popular with tourists and locals alike!

The " Pagerie " suite

A 4-suite ****

As soon as I arrive, I’m greeted by the La Pagerie team, true to the hotel’s reputation for a relaxed, family atmosphere. I’m shown to the spacious and cosy Suite “Pagerie“, overlooking the gardens. I love the new, highly refined ambience, tastefully decorated and personalized by Marie-Galantais artist Yelow.

Everything is in place for a perfect stay, with its king-size bed and superb bathtub where I could relax in a bubble bath after a busy day.

The Tropical Chic breakfast includes pastries, exotic fruits and Creole specialties. It can be enjoyed in your room or at the buffet of Le Pitaya restaurant.

Classic " or " Comfort " rooms

30m2 room with balcony, walk-in shower, king-size bed, kitchenette… Ideal for a comfortable stay for up to 3 people.

Lunch at the Palm Bar

by the pool

I invited my two best friends to join me for lunch by the pool at the Palm Bar.

They’re not staying at the hotel, but have booked the “Midi Gourmand” package (pool access / accras + main course + dessert, drink). Sitting at the integrated bar of the new, curvaceous pool (superb!), we sample the homemade planteur – it’s already quite hot, but the water is delicious.

Comfortably seated in the shade of the parasols, we enjoyed a fresh salad from the Palm Bar while chatting and exchanging laughter.

An hour’s sunbathing in the late afternoon, lulled by the gentle Caribbean breeze, was the perfect prelude to the musical evening awaiting us at Restaurant le Pitaya.

Tropical Bar

A lively late afternoon

In the evening, we meet up at the Tropical Bar, a warm and comfortable place with a fine selection of Martinique rums and cocktails on the menu.

We take the opportunity to admire the sculptures by Jean-Louis Toussaint, and the large mural by Ruben Carrasco.

Restaurant Le Pitaya

Dinner with music

We then join our table on the restaurant’s terrace, where we are welcomed into a romantic and very tropical setting. Subdued lighting, soft music and the mixed flavors of the menu are the order of the day: Retour de pêche aux agrumes, Carré d’agneau rosé comme j’aime and Verrine à la mangue bien parfumé…

The evening continued with a live Caribbean band. A real postcard vacation atmosphere!

Before we leave, we take a stroll through the Village Créole, always lively on Saturday evenings. That’s what we love about Pointe du Bout!

What can we say about the night? Divine! Calm, well-cooled by the air-conditioning, the bedding was top-notch, the pillows soft, in short a perfume of luxury and serenity!

The Kann d'Ô boutique

I get up early to make the most of my day. I stroll around Pointe du Bout to the marina, where shuttles take you to Fort de France in 15 minutes. I found ” Kann d’ O”, the little designer boutique in the hotel , a very nice place, selling very pretty things: perfumes, pareos, jewelry, fashion accessories, wellness and suncare products, posters, local produce… very chic! Very chic!

   La Pagerie craft market

This Sunday afternoon, it’s craft market day at the hotel! From 2pm to 7pm on the first Sunday of every month, colorful stalls showcase local crafts: jewelry, driftwood, accessories, scented candles…

As I leave La Pagerie, I’d like to thank Laureen and the whole team for offering me so much more than a simple getaway: an enchanted interlude between relaxation and leisure. If you’re looking for a vacation in a refined atmosphere, this is undoubtedly one of the best addresses in the South Caribbean!
