In the heart of Fort de FranceHotel***, Restaurant, Spafacing the Caribbean Sea

A stay at Karibéa Squash Hôtel & Spa *** – Restaurant Le Jardin des Alizés

The Karibéa Squash Hôtel & Spa, well known to travelers, with its restaurant Jardin des Alizés open to all, is a great place to stay. Let me tell you…

The hotel is ideally located: just a few minutes’ walk from downtown Fort-de-France, with its Malecon, Place de la Savane and Fort Saint-Louis, and close to all the shopping areas, as well as the maritime shuttles to Pointe du Bout des Trois-îlets and Case Pilote. This makes it a central point for business travelers and tourists alike.

3-star hotel in the heart of Fort de France

Facing the Caribbean Sea

The hotel consists of two buildings surrounded by tall trees and a tropical garden. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed in the Lotus building, which houses the reception and superior rooms (superior city view, superior sea view and superior family room). The Hibiscus building houses the Jardin des Alizés restaurant, La Pinta bar, swimming pool and standard rooms (standard classic, standard with balcony and sea view, studio comfort with terrace and private kitchen). The team is always smiling and ready to listen to your needs.

The rooms

Each of the hotel’s corridors features a unique color theme, subtly integrated into the rooms through the choice of fabrics, furniture and decoration.

I also think the idea of large numbers indicating the room numbers is really cool.

All rooms and suites were renovated in 2022. The bedding is extremely comfortable, meeting the standards of 3-star hotels…

The bathrooms are elegant, with large walk-in showers and thick, fluffy towels. The sleek design of the furniture adds a touch of elegance and lightness to the entire establishment.

The Squash Hotel is a harmonious place, with a chic Caribbean feel.

A pool with a sea view

The sparkling turquoiseinfinity pool overlooks the bay of Fort-de-France, with a view of the Caribbean Sea. The pool is deep enough to swim in if you feel like it, or just lounge on the large submerged steps. Comfortable deckchairs and designer parasols invite you to relax in the Caribbean!

Restaurant Jardin des Alizés

Changes at the restaurant this year!

The dining room and terrace feature a harmonious blend of light wood, white, anthracite and green. Elegantly tablecloth-covered tables create a chic tropical ambience.

The Creole buffet lunch, offered on certain days of the week, remains a sure bet, but the big novelty is the lunch and dinner menus.

   Opening hours:

  • Breakfast: 6am to 9am (continental and Creole buffet)
  • Lunch: 12pm to 2:15pm (buffet or à la carte menu)
  • Dinner: 7pm to 10pm (à la carte menu)

The kitchen is now orchestrated by executive chef Rudy Nonone. He has completely revamped the culinary offering. The Franco-Creole-inspired menu skilfully blends classic French cuisine with local Martinique produce. Each plate, carefully crafted and beautifully presented, testifies to his know-how and creativity, for visual as well as gustatory pleasure.

The menu changes with the seasons and market stalls. Seafood products, however, dominate the menu. Rudy Nonone has surrounded himself with Harold Montabord, catering manager, a chef and a pastry chef. The perfect recipe for the new Alizés restaurant…

There’s fish tartare with passion fruit, shrimp risotto with curry, grilled lambi and, on the sweet side, a coconut mont-blanc and a Martinique chocolate mi-cuit

Bar La Pinta

A cocktail at the La Pinta bar at the end of the day? A planteur by the pool? An aperitif with colleagues after a day’s work, watching the sun set over the Caribbean Sea?

   Opening hours:

  • daily from 11am to 11pm
  • 5pm to 11pm on Sundays and public holidays

We’re relaxing, we’re in the West Indies, we’re fine!!!!

  • Outside customers are welcome from breakfast (buffet from 6am to 9:30am) to lunch and dinner.
  • The restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays for lunch, as well as on December 25 and January 1.
