The Hydroelectric Mill

A little history :
The epic of the "Marie-Calixte" mill began in 1933. Its creator, Henri Marie-Calixte, had an idea that was dear to his heart: to produce electrical energy from a vertical water wheel that captured the water of the river "la petite Lézarde". This will allow him to transform cassava, coconut and toloman into flour.

In 2010, the Exurville family bought the site, rehabilitated it and its mill. Eager to perpetuate traditional cultures and to make this heritage known, Richard and his team invite you to discover this authentic and unique place.

Only by appointment: installed in a cocoon of nature, by the river, Pascale offers you a moment of plenitude with wellness massage, detox care, clay wrap.

Rates 2022 :
- Visit of the mill: 5€ /adult - 3€ /child (- 12 years old)
- Visit of the mill, fishing workshop, flour making, tasting: 10€/adult
- Visit of the mill, fishing workshop, flour making, tasting, swimming, 100% home-made meal (starter-main course-dessert at the restaurant) : 38€/adult

The Flour Counter :
You will be able to buy the mill's flours: cassava, toloman, coconut, breadfruit, sweet potato, banana, dachine, turmeric, ginger, moussache (gluten-free flour) and taste or take away sweet and savory cassava, shortbread, crispies, cassava or breadfruit cakes, cassava pancakes, accras, doughnuts, bokits, garden juices, homemade liqueurs and local vegetables

At the end of the week, the mill sets up its stand in front of "Carrefour Market", "Caraïbe Price" and "Auchan" to sell their flours and cassava. Just call them to find out which store they are located in front of.

The traditional table:
The restaurant with a family atmosphere and without fuss is a table to discover if you want to eat good and healthy. On the spot or to take away... (See section "Where to eat")
