The Wahoo Café is a beachside restaurant and bar situated in Carbet, on the Caribbean coast of Martinique. Set right by the sea, it features tables, thatched huts and sun loungers in a relaxed atmosphere. People come here to enjoy a fish dish or a smoked speciality for lunch, share some tapas, sip a cocktail or linger as the sun sets. It’s the perfect spot when you’re looking to combine a meal, the beach and relaxation all in one place, whether with family, as a couple or with friends.

A table by the sea The setting is an integral part of the Wahoo. Open all day from midday. The menu combines small plates to share with more generous dishes.

To start with, or to accompany a drink, options include cod fritters, balaous, homemade marlin rillettes served with vegetarian chilli toast, as well as fish, prawn or chicken tapas. The mixed tapas platter allows you to sample several dishes around the same table.

Smoking overa woodfire is one of Wahoo’s specialities and gives the dishes a real character.

Depending on your preference, the menu also offers a choice of hearty salads, homemade fish tartare, fish and chips, fish or chicken burgers, ribs or smoked chicken. For dessert, the artisan ice cream or Taty Olivier’s coconut flan extend the flavours of Martinique.

Cocktails and sunset At the Wahoo Café, a cocktail, a few tapas and a deckchair are all you need to enjoy the late afternoon by the water’s edge whilst admiring the sunset. For a table at this time, particularly at weekends or for a group, booking is recommended.

Wahoo Café opening times and services – The Wahoo Café is open 7 days a week from 12 noon to 10.30 pm, Monday to Sunday. – Takeaway meals are also available – The café is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
