Description
A story of family and passion The restaurant is tastefully decorated using natural materials, the atmosphere is warm and the service attentive. Whether you’re popping in for a relaxed lunch or a more intimate dinner, you’ll immediately feel right at home.
Creole and French cuisine rooted in the local terroir Chef Mike Landerneau offers a concise, seasonal menu, updated each month according to the catches of local fishermen and Martinican producers. His philosophy? To showcase local produce with creativity whilst honouring the classics.
Specialities include: – Smoked conch – Grilled chatrou – Fresh fish of the day (snapper, ouassous, etc.) – Smoked pork – Homemade desserts with local spices (vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg)
The menu showcases local produce: short supply chains, exceptional freshness and authentic flavours. The cuisine is generous, balanced and full of character. The restaurant’s reputation is further enhanced by its signature cocktails made with AOC Martinique rums and creative mocktails.
On a few weekends each month, a special atmosphere takes hold with more traditional dishes (macadam, ti-nain cod, etc.) that celebrate the neighbourhood’s roots.
The restaurant has three distinct areas: – A terrace cooled by the trade winds – A cosy and elegant indoor dining room – A more intimate space, ideal for romantic dinners or private events
L’Épicerie de Renée: the heart and soul of the neighbourhood Right next to the restaurant is Renée’s grocery shop, a proper old-fashioned ‘lolo’ where you’ll find homemade jams, rums, spices and local produce.
