Restaurant La Chaudière: An Authentic Creole Culinary Experience in Morne-Rouge, Martinique Set in the heart of a tropical garden, between rivers, the Pitons du Carbet and Montagne Pelée, this restaurant on the Route de la Trace is an essential part of Martinique's culinary heritage and one of the top 5 Creole restaurants.

You can’t miss it, with its frieze painted in Caribbean colours on the façade. Once you’ve passed through the entrance, a Garden of Eden opens up before you. The terraces are immaculately kept, with colourful tables laid with tablecloths. The waitresses, dressed in Creole dresses, are friendly and attentive, and will be happy to recommend dishes to suit your tastes.

Creole cuisine. Chef Yanic Malidor, alongside his partner, Chef Joceline, creates generous and flavourful dishes, simmered with passion. Each recipe is a tribute to Creole flavours, showcasing local produce whilst adding a contemporary twist. Among the restaurant’s must-try specialities, you can enjoy: • Roussi de lambi, served in a sweet potato puff pastry • The blood sausage duo, wrapped in banana leaves • Fresh sea bream, delicately cooked in a nori leaf • Pork colombo, the restaurant’s signature dish • Thin banana tart, an irresistible Creole dessert

An exceptional setting between Mount Pelée and the Pitons du Carbet. Beyond the cuisine, La Chaudière offers an immersive experience in the heart of nature. The restaurant is nestled in lush greenery, surrounded by rivers, orchids, vanilla plants and tropical fruit trees.
