Since July 2024, Blue Lines has been providing the public passenger ferry service in Martinique under a public service contract awarded by Martinique Transport. Born out of a partnership between City Up and Blue Heaven, the company took over from Vedettes Tropicales with the aim of modernising crossings in the Bay of Fort-de-France.

Routes servedDeparting from the Pointe Simon jetty in Fort-de-France, Blue Lines operates regular crossings to: • Le Bourg des Trois-Îlets;• La Pointe du Bout Marina;• Anse à l’Âne. These routes provide easy access to beaches, accommodation, restaurants, water sports and tourist attractions along the Caribbean coast.
Approximate crossing times • Fort-de-France ↔ Pointe du Bout: approximately 15 minutes; • Fort-de-France ↔ Bourg des Trois-Îlets: approximately 20 minutes; • Fort-de-France ↔ Anse à l’Âne: approximately 25 minutes. Services run all year round, with increased frequency during peak periods and major events.

Other options • Book of 12 tickets: from €36; • Reduced-fare book (ages 5–25 and 65 and over): from €28; • Monthly passes available for regular users. Fares are subject to change. • Main embarkation point: Pointe Simon in Fort-de-France; • Shuttles run 7 days a week; • It is advisable to arrive a few minutes before departure, particularly during busy periods; • timetables may be subject to change depending on operational conditions or in the event of exceptional circumstances.
Good to know: whether you’re staying in Les Trois-Îlets or simply want to cross the bay for a day at the beach, Blue Lines is often the quickest and most pleasant way to travel between Fort-de-France and the southern Caribbean.
