Le Marin Marina continues to evolve, cementing its status as a leader amongst marinas in the Caribbean region.
A bit of history… The creation of Le Marin Marina dates back to 1985, an initiative spearheaded by Le Marin Town Council, which, recognising the region’s maritime potential, decided to showcase its natural heritage by building a marina and a boat maintenance centre. This project took shape in the early 1990s, spearheaded by Mayor Rodolphe Désiré and Frantz Jean-Joseph, under the name Société Antillaise d’Exploitation de Port de Plaisance.
Initially comprising 160 berths and surrounded by around twenty specialist businesses, the marina has expanded over the years. In 2000, five new pontoons were added, including one capable of accommodating large pleasure craft. In 2010, a new 4,500 m² retail area was opened, marking a key milestone in the development of this leading port facility in the Lesser Antilles.
