Are you looking for vanilla pods and would you like to visit a vanilla plantation? It's a must! Cathy has been passionately growing vanilla, pepper and many other spices in Trois-Îlets for over 7 years.
Today, she has 4 shops, including one with a vanilla plantation in the La Ferme district, and in december 2024, she will be opening one of her cultivation and production sites in Trinité to the public. -

Self-taught, she has travelled the world: New Guinea, Madagascar, Uganda... From her many encounters in vanilla plantations, she has acquired a unique know-how that enables her to cultivate this fragile orchid.
Once the vanilla pods are ripe and bursting with flavour, they are processed in her workshop. With the utmost delicacy, she extracts their quintessence through a long process of preparation and maturation that Cathy has mastered: scalding, steaming, drying and aromatic maturation. It takes two years from flowering to the end of ripening.
To diversify her crus, she works with other producers. These include
- Planifolia vanilla, the most aromatic,
- Tahitensis vanilla, with fruity and floral notes,
- Pompona vanilla, the rarest, with notes of balsam, liquorice and tobacco leaves.
As well as vanillas, it grows exceptional spices and peppers such as Penja, and produces a range of aromatic oils, vanilla-derived products, infusions, jams, medicinal plants, rum-based liqueurs and much more.
