  • Saint-James rums from Sainte-Marie in Martinique are known throughout the world
    It is one of the largest producers of old rum on the island.

  • The shop and tasting :
    The hostesses dressed in beautiful traditional dresses, all adorned with magnificent jewellery from local designers, will introduce you to the best rums from the distillery. Saint-James rums perpetuate the know-how and authenticity of exceptional rums. Regularly awarded medals in international competitions, they make the brand one of the most awarded in Martinique.

    You can buy your bottles individually, in boxes of three, or in cubes.

    In addition to the shop, you can visit :
    - The two Museums, the shops and the workshops are free of charge.
    - The visit of the Distillery is paying (5€) and supervised by a guide (see heading sites and monuments, or heading museum)

    It is also the departure point of the Plantation Train. You can take it to go to the La Salle house, an exceptional house that is a must-see.

    The Distillery :
    Guided tours of the distillery are at 10am, 11.30am during the harvest period (February to June). Price 5€. Not allowed for children under 12 and by appointment at any other time of the year. In December, the museum organises the Rum Festival, a traditional and popular event not to be missed!
