Description

Go hiking in Martinique with Aventure Rand Dy and discover the island in a different light, accompanied by Félicie, a professional hiking guide. Each outing is tailored to your preferences, ability and pace. Whether it’s marked trails, hidden paths or routes off the beaten track, the hikes are organised on a bespoke basis, for groups of two or more.
Much more than just a walk, each trail offers a true immersion into the heart of Martinique’s natural heritage. Throughout the experience, your guide will tell you about the rainforest, the island’s landscapes and the history of the places you pass through. You’ll learn to listen to nature, observe wildlife, recognise plants, feel the bark and smell the scents of the tropical vegetation. Aventure Rand Dy also introduces you to the flavours of Martinique through a selection of local produce and homemade specialities: candied fruit, breadfruit totote, local herbal tea and savoury tarts. These gourmet breaks give you a deeper insight into the island’s culinary traditions. At the end of the hike, there’s a chance to socialise over a light snack, where you can chat and share your impressions. Whether as a couple, with family or friends, enjoy an authentic, warm and personalised adventure, immersed in Martinique’s natural surroundings. Aventure Rand Dy’s workshops Aventure Rand Dy also offers cultural and culinary workshops, held at Félicie’s, at your home or out in the countryside. Suitable for families, groups of friends, clubs, businesses and schools, these workshops offer a friendly and interactive way to discover Martinique’s heritage. Flavours and culinary traditions The cocoa workshop takes you through every stage, from harvesting the cocoa pod to making chocolate sweets. You’ll discover the history of cocoa in the West Indies, the composition of the fruit and how the beans are processed. Participants learn traditional techniques, make their own creations and taste them. Other workshops focus on cinnamon, pumpkin, cassava and coconut. They explore the cultivation, uses and processing of these iconic ingredients of Caribbean cuisine. Duration: approximately 2 hours Price: from €35 per person, for a group of at least 10 participants. Traditional music and dance This workshop invites you to discover Martinican culture by making an instrument from natural materials. Participants are then introduced to the rhythms of the bèlè drum and the ti bwa, learn the basic moves and play together. The experience continues with an introduction to bèlè dancing, suitable for beginners, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Price: from €38 per person. Practical tip: you can combine a hike with a workshop on the same day (subject to conditions)
