With over 12 years’ experience, you’ll be joining this passionate guide aboard her motorboat, the ‘Patience 972’ – a Fusion 31’ capable of accommodating up to 12 people.
• Half-day ‘dolphin’ excursion (8.00 am to 12.00 pm) A keen enthusiast of flora and fauna, she knows the Agoa sanctuary well. This knowledgeable guide will take the time to explain the different species of dolphins, whales, pilot whales and other cetaceans found at the site all year round, some of which are present during their breeding season. After the wildlife spotting, the cruise will continue along the coves of the Caribbean coast. Swimming, snorkelling (with your own equipment) and a light snack (juice, rum, liqueurs, served with savoury pâtés, local cakes or fresh fruit) will round off your morning.
• ‘Coves’ excursion (2 pm to 5 pm) You’ll sail along the entire southern Caribbean coast from Les Trois-Ilets to the village of Anses d’Arlet, passing by Ramier Islet – a former military fort and reserve for the Lesser Antilles iguana – the bat cave, Anse Bellay, a former slave cemetery. Drawing on her extensive knowledge of the local wildlife and history, Anola will share her insights with you. Swimming over exceptional coral reefs and with turtles, snorkelling (using your own equipment) and refreshments (juice, rum, liqueurs, savoury pâtés, local cakes or fresh fruit) will round off your afternoon.
• Full day (8.30 am to 5 pm) You’ll combine both programmes (the Dolphins and the Coves) with lunch at Anola’s. The Caribbean meal prepared by Anola’s mum is a skilful blend of Creole and Haitian cuisine. On the menu: a Creole platter (accras, boudin, bouchées, raw vegetables, pikliz), chicken colombo or fish court-bouillon served with rice and local vegetables… For dessert, local ice cream or fruit from the garden. You can take a break to let your meal settle in the hammock under the carbet on her private jetty before continuing your day at sea and going for a swim with the turtles.
