Description
Carefully restored, the former factory bears witness to the industrial heritage of Habitation Clément. The machinery, facilities and production areas have been preserved and showcased to illustrate the evolution of the estate and the expertise behind Clément rums.
The tour also highlights the ageing cellars, iconic venues where the aged rums are stored. The estate’s four cellars – Homère Clément, Charles Clément, Georges-Louis Clément and Jean-José Clément – house the casks in which the rum gradually develops its aromas, colour and complexity.
This tour is ideal for gaining a better understanding of the unique characteristics of AOC Martinique agricultural rum. A tour of the old distillery rounds off the heritage tour of Habitation Clément. It allows visitors to appreciate the link between family history, sugarcane cultivation, production techniques and industrial heritage.
