The 233-hectare Zone de Protection Renforcée 1 (ZPR1) at Le Prêcheur is bounded to the north by the Rivière Trois-Bras and to the south by Caye Anastasie, and covers the 100 m around the islet of La Perle in Martinique.

Rules to be observed in this zone: What is prohibited? - All forms of recreational and professional fishing other than surface net, titiri and seine fishing. - Underwater hunting - Landing on the islet La Perle - Anchoring and mooring (subject to the future installation of ecological moorings and dedicated mooring buoys). Authorised activities : - Professional fishing with surface nets and beach seines from June to September in the coves north of Anse Céron and with Titiri from 1 August to 1 October. - Scuba diving by club or with authorisation - Access by sea to the coves is authorised for approved ecotourism structures. What you can see : Below: - Numerous coral communities, particularly in the La Perle, Sous-marin and Les Basses sectors - Colonies of Corne d'élan, a species classified as "critically endangered", near Le Sous-Marin - Large sponges, part of the hawksbill turtle's diet - Drop-offs harbouring a wealth of biodiversity and popular with divers - More than 80 species of fish, including rare heritage species classified as "vulnerable" or "near-threatened", such as the Capitaine, the Sorbe, the Vierge gueule jaune, the Baliste royal, the Pagre dispo and the Raie leopard. - Dense grass beds representing an important feeding site for the Green Turtle, classified as "critically endangered". Above: - Isolated beaches accessible only by hiking or by sea and providing important nesting sites for marine turtles (green, hawksbill and leatherback), such as the Anses des Galets, à Voile, Lévrier and Couleuvre. - 15 species of birds, including the Superb Frigate, the Brown Noddy, the Bridled Tern, the Roseate Tern, the Brown Booby, the Grey Pelican... - The islet La Perle and the cliffs along the coast are breeding grounds for birds, notably the Yellow-billed Tropicbird and the White-bellied Swallow.
