Vacations at the Karibéa Sainte-Luce Hôtel ***.

Today, we’re heading for the Karibea Sainte-Luce Hôtel*** on the Caribbean coast in the south of Martinique, a place I’ve known for a long time and which is always a big hit with holidaymakers and locals alike when it comes to relaxing breaks and weekend get aways. With its many services: hotels, restaurants, bars, weekend passes, entertainment and activities… All the ingredients are there for an unforgettable tropical experience.

Comprising 2 hotels, Les Amandiers and Amyris, and the Caribia residence, the complex extends over a vast, lush estate on the edge of the Caribbean Sea.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll immediately feel like you’re on vacation. The welcome is warm, the atmosphere friendly and relaxed, the charm and gentle way of life of the West Indies as you’d expect.

The rooms

The wide choice of accommodation means you can select the one that best suits your expectations, your desires and your budget. All rooms are air-conditioned, with one or two bathrooms and all the amenities of a 3-star hotel.

  Room types :

  • Standard room (20 to 23 m²)
  • Superior room(30 m²), with or without kitchenette
  • 57 m²apartment with balcony or terrace, garden or sea view
  • 80 m²Premium room, designed as a real apartment

The pools

The resort boasts three swimming pools, nestled in a lush park reflecting the exuberance and richness of Caribbean tropical vegetation, with bougainvilleas, flamboyant trees, royal palms and ixoras.

The hotel’slargest infinity pool (300 m2) offers spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. The second pool, with its paddling pool, is ideal for the little ones. And the third, with its infinity pool, is located in the rental part of the resort, in the Caribia residence.

   For your comfort: beach towels (on loan), sun loungers and parasols are available.

Beaches and activities

The hotel is distinguished by its many attractions, including:

  • Direct access to two beautiful sandy beaches: Anse Désert and Fond Banane.
  • A coastal path ideal for strolling, jogging along the coast, discovering the many small coves with their turquoise waters, walking as far as the town of Sainte-Luce and the village of Sainte-Luce.the village of Sainte-Luce and the fishing village of Trois-Rivières, home tothe Trois-Rivières rum distillery and its famous mill.
  • A multitude of leisure activities: water sports, sea outings, scuba diving, windsurfing, excursions, etc.

Restaurant, bar and straw hut!

The resort has several dining areas: restaurant, bar and snack bar.

Restaurant La Yole

Set in the complex’s gardens, overlooking the sea, the “La Yole” restaurant is bathed in light, with spacious, well-ventilated rooms. Every day, the chef proposes themed buffets. He invites you to discover the spicy flavors of Creole cuisine, blending Caribbean, Cajun and French influences. Breakfasts are continental or “bokaÿ“. And on weekends, there’s live music

  • Breakfast: 7am to 9:30am
  • Lunch: 12pm to 2pm
  • Dinner: 7pm to 9:30pm

Le Sikrier snack bar

The “Le Sikrier” snack bar, located in the Amyris gardens on the seafront,overlooks the beach and the Caribbean Sea. With its small straw hut charm, the spot is popular with holidaymakers who gather to enjoy the ambience, the after-beach and the sunsets.

On the menu, you’ll find a wide choice of pizzas, crepes, snacks, cold drinks, beers and juices. It’s a great little spot for a snack!

   Opening hours

Open from 4pm to 10pm:

  • Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in high season
  • and Fridays and Saturdays in low season

Bar Le Baril de Rhum

At the end of the day, head to the “Le Baril de Rhum” bar!

Set around one of the hotel’s pools, it’s the perfect place for an aperitif. The bartender offers a range of liqueurs, homemade planteur and other original creations. The rum, of course, comes from Trois-Rivières, the famous distillery located just a few minutes from the resort.

An ideal setting for sharing moments of pleasure before dinner with friends or family. On certain evenings, there’s even more entertainment: folk groups, karaoke, games, dance parties with live bands…

  The Karibea Sainte-Luce Hôtel offers many advantages, whether you’re looking for a restful break or a chance to explore the island. The village of Sainte-Luce is one of the most pleasant and conveniently located for accessing all that Martinique has to offer: dream beaches, a fishing port, forest walks, colorful markets, a distillery to visit… An excellent choice!

The commune of Sainte-Luce is a favorite destination for tourists (and locals!). With its gentle Caribbean lifestyle, beaches, culture, nature and leisure activities, Sainte-Luce has it all!

While you’re here, be sure to explore all the little coves that follow one another, from the village to the Trois Rivières district. Take the coastal path and choose your favorite: Corps de Garde, Fond Banane, Pont Café, Anse Désert, Anse Mabouya… with a breathtaking view of the Rocher du Diamant !

The Trois Rivières rum distillery, with its old distillery facilities , emblematic mill, magnificent estate stretching to the sea and, of course, the highly acclaimed, award-winning AOC Martinique white and aged rums.

On the heights of Sainte-Luce, the Forêt de Montravail welcomes you with its hiking and walking trails, including the Roches Gravées, where you can observe pre-Columbian Amerindian petroglyphs.

Last but not least, scuba diving enthusiasts can dive Grande Caye, the richest coral spot in the Lesser Antilles!
