Discover the Jardin-Zoologique de Martinique at the Habitation Anse Latouche in Le Carbet.

This new-generation park combines history and biodiversity in an exceptional natural setting, with historic ruins and exotic species. It's one of the most beautiful places on Martinique.
One of a kind, this extraordinary garden was created by Jean-Philippe Thoze in the early 2000s, who also designed the Jardin de Balata. Like a painter, he imagined a completely different garden. The preserved ruins of the plantation, remnants of the eruption of Montagne Pelée in 1902, provide him with a fascinating backdrop.

During your introductory walk, you'll discover the ornamental pools, the water reservoir and aqueduct, an old distillery, the mill mechanism, the indigoterie, the manioquerie, the forge and the cane slides...
Today, this unique site offers timeless sensations, where history mingles with the life of a home of yesteryear, its rebirth and the creation of a zoo.
