Fishing trip in Martinique with Max Baspin – Terre Mer

Enjoy an authentic traditional fishing experience in Martinique with Max Baspin, a fisherman from Grand-Rivière. Aboard the Saint-Jean II, his traditional 7.30-metre yawl that can accommodate up to 6 people, Max will take you out to the North Caribbean Sea for an authentic trip combining technique, sharing and respect for the sea.

A sailor from father to son, he knows the fishing grounds, currents and underwater terrain of this wild and unspoilt coastline dominated by Mount Pelée like the back of his hand.

Traditional fishing trip – Learn local techniques:

Equipment is provided and the catch is shared on board. Just remember to bring your own snacks and drinks. A small-group experience in the purest tradition, far from standardised outings.

Boat shuttle for hikers between Prêcheur and Grand-Rivière
In addition to fishing trips and sea excursions, Max provides return transport for hikers crossing from Prêcheur to Grand-Rivière or Grand-Rivière to Prêcheur.

This return trip by boat allows you to sail along the wild coast of the North Caribbean and admire the coves accessible only by sea, the volcanic cliffs and the landscape dominated by Mount Pelée, while avoiding a second walk.
