In the heart of a site steeped in the history of rum and the Depaz distillery, in a magnificently restored former cane mill, chef Gilles Malidor blends tradition and modernity in both decor and cuisine.

Proud of his roots and in love with his terroir, Gilles is committed to passing on the tastes and flavors of 100% home-cooked Franco-Creole cuisine. Trained by top chefs in mainland France and in the family restaurant La Chaudière in Morne Rouge, the fruit never falls far from the tree!

The evolving menu offers 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts, as well as a suggestion of the day or starter/main course or main course/dessert formulas. Best-sellers include crayfish with Depaz aged rum, ravioli and picanha of hot, house-smoked beef.

The restaurant's terrace is open from 9 a.m. for drinks and coffee. The restaurant can be privatized for groups of 40 or more, with a personalized menu. If you're visiting the distillery and don't have time to sit down, Gilles can prepare a "picnic meal" to order.
