L'Atelier Caraïbe

The talented potter, Jocelyn Marignan, has been installed for more than 32 years in the old school of the Village de la Poterie (a little set back), between the factory and the restaurant Le Jardin des envies.

A creative artist, it is a pleasure to see him working with clay in his workshop-boutique.

He kneads, turns, models, shapes, stretches and rounds the clay by hand or on the wheel. The utilitarian or decorative creations will dry in a few hours or several days, depending on the size, before being fired. The pieces can then be glazed.

Whether you are a private individual or a professional, if you want a particular creation, several pieces (wedding list, catering service, carafes, coco-neg, fountains, lamps...small and large pieces). Jocelyn will listen to you and create the objects you want.

A man of sharing, he passes on his knowledge and gives initiations and pottery classes on Saturday mornings for adults and during the week for groups of children.

Potter, more than a job... A passion!
"Clay needs patience and technical rigour. It requires a soft and frank gesture, you have to feel it, love it, listen to it. It needs time to dry, cook and transform itself in order to exist".
