Starting point: l'Autre Bord district on the D1, after crossing the town.
Access: In Saint-Pierre, on Victor Hugo Street, turn right towards Fonds-Saint-Denis. Go towards the exit of the town, stop on the square, near the cross. -
Itinerary: From the cross, take the direction of L'Autre Bord. The path starts just before a small oratory. Take the path that goes up into the quarry.
You are here at the place called Bellevue (1) and you have a panoramic view over the valley and the morne des Cadets. After 30 minutes of climbing, you reach the ridge. On the right you can see the monumental bridge built on the D1 (2).
Continue on the path that crosses an old tropical flower plantation before returning to a mahogany forest...Itinerary: From the cross, take the direction of L'Autre Bord. The path starts just before a small oratory. Take the path that goes up into the quarry.

Continue without taking the footpaths that leave on the right and lead to the morne Lacroix. A little further on, the view is clear on the left and you can see the village of Fonds-Saint-Denis below (4).
To continue, the path runs along a fence and then arrives on a concrete section before reaching a small crossroads. Turn right in the direction of Trou Vent. Pass in front of the bus shelter (5) and go down to the left towards the Mahault River.
Cross successively two small streams and then take the path that goes to the left (6). The path climbs up and then crosses a meadow, crosses a valley and ends at a small plateau on which small masonry works and a cross can be seen (7).
Turn left to go down along the Way of the Cross until you reach the entrance to the village of Fonds-Saint-Denis, in La Tranchée district.
