  • At the sign describing the site, take the path that goes to the right and walk down a wide alley that will lead you to a series of steps that will allow you to climb the first morne. At the sign describing the site, take the path that goes to the right and walk down a wide alley that will lead you to a series of steps that will allow you to climb the first morne. Once on the stairs, take the time to turn around to observe the panorama of the coast. The sloping part of the path is quite long but after a few minutes of effort you will arrive on a plateau.

There, it's a completely different atmosphere, it doesn't go up any more but you are deprived of the panorama since the path goes back into the vegetation. After the plateau, the path takes a few steps to go down to the hollow of a gully, then it starts again for the ascent of the second morne. The slope is quite steep, but once at the top of the hill, you will be well rewarded by the panoramic view of Pointe Macré. The path goes down on a plateau at the end of which you can see, on the left, a small pond. Continue straight ahead, the path arrives in an undergrowth in the back woods, you are very close to the beach of Cap Macré.

At the next junction (1), turn left, take the path that goes up into a clearing. Once at the top of the hill, you will have the choice between two paths. One that passes by the seaside and the other one that goes inland. Both arrive at the beach of Grosse Roche cove (2), where a heart-shaped hole can be seen in the cliff.

Go along the beach and continue along the path that passes over the cliff and then turn left to reach the chapel (3). Go back along the Way of the Cross and you will arrive at the Grand Macabou car park.
