  • Starting point: Anse Couleuvre Cove.
    Access: RN2 then CD10, drive to the parking area of Anse Couleuvre.

    This hike is a great opportunity to discover both the tropical forest and the wild coves of the northwestern part of the island.

  • Leave the parking lot and cross the river. Take to the left the track which leads to the beach of Anse Couleuvre (1).
    Walk back to the ruins of the Couleuvre estate and turn left to take the path that leads up to the beach view point.
    Take to the left the path that will lead you to the beach of Anse Lévrier after 15 minutes of descent (2). Take the time to explore this beach nestled between two rocky points on the edge of the mesophilic forest.
    Continue by the small track which passes...
    Leave the parking lot and cross the river. Take to the left the track which leads to the beach of Anse Couleuvre (1).
    Walk back to the ruins of the Couleuvre estate and turn left to take the path that leads up to the beach view point.
    Take to the left the path that will lead you to the beach of Anse Lévrier after 15 minutes of descent (2). Take the time to explore this beach nestled between two rocky points on the edge of the mesophilic forest.
    Continue by the small track which passes behind the beach and after crossing a small ravine, take to the left the track which goes up and down to the Anse à Voile (3).
    Here, it is a total change of scenery, a piece of paradise between the sea and the mountains. If you look up to observe the cliff on the right side of the beach, you can see the "skull and crossbones", carved into the rock by the very strong erosion on this seaside.
    Turn around and turn left. Go down to the small stream and go up to the main path. At the intersection, turn right.
    The trail follows a wooded path and takes you back to the viewpoint on the beach of Anse Couleuvre. Turn left and follow the path down to the Anse Couleuvre parking lot.
