Keep to the left and go down a track between two gliricidias hedges that will lead you to a small bridge over the Massel River (2).
Continue on the track which ends with a chicane behind the beach. The trail continues with a large marigot (3) on your left. At the crossing, do not take the track that goes to the left and goes back to the beach but continue straight into the undergrowth (it should be noted that in wet weather, this area is very muddy and difficult to walk in). The trail continues again, crossing a dry river. Stay to the left and continue in an alley lined with acacias and manchineel trees.
A little further on, the path climbs a bit and arrives at a crossroads. Turn right and continue to climb. You will then arrive at a small crossing (4), turn left and walk along the Way of the Cross to the chapel. Start again by a small path which goes down on the left up to the seaside. Follow the path that passes over the shore and cross the hill to return to Pointe Marie-Catherine. Continue on the path which passes at the bottom of the waves in the conch cemetery (5) and which leads to the long beach of Grand Macabou.
After the marigot, take the path that leaves the beach to go left into an undergrowth (6).
After a short climb, you will arrive in a clearing. Stay on the left side of the trail, it will lead you into a wide alleyway that will take you back to Petit Macabou beach, the starting point of the loop.
