Îlet Petit Piton

Islet in Le Robert
  • It's an uninhabited islet. It is connected to the Grotte islet by a 350 m tombolo.

  • Very small (0.007 km²) it owes its name to its high relief, reaching 40 m and sharp. It is known as "the Islet of the Cave Rock".

    It is one of the islets protected by a biotope protection order dating from 2002. Access to this islet is very dangerous and it is not possible to dock. Petit Piton islet is classified as being in an advanced conservation phase.
