It is a small piece of uninhabited land, an oval-shaped sandbank, surrounded by white sandy beaches with a reef in the middle. It is located 4 km off the Robert coast, and its access is very dangerous due to the currents of the Atlantic Ocean.

Loup-Garou islet has no housing or construction. When weather conditions are good, several companies offer excursions in the area.
A biotope protection order was implemented in 2007 to preserve the natural environment. It consists in protecting the habitat necessary for the survival of species. Sanctions are incurred in the event of non-compliance with the rules on the spot.
