The Gros îlet - also called Mandoline îlet because of its shape - is an uninhabited islet.
It is located in the bay of Génipa opposite the Pointe Vatable. It is about 600m long. In the past, it was called Islet à Vaches (cows) because a family of farmers used to let their cows graze there.
