Îlet Charles
Islet
in Les Trois-Îlets
-
Charles islet is at the origin of the name of the town. Indeed, it is in reference to the three islets - Tébloux, Charles and Sixtain - that the Jesuits gave this name to the village in 1693.
-
Charles islet owes its name to its last owner, who operated lime kilns there.
It's an uninhabited islet. You can spot it by going to the viewpoint after the golf course by going to Pointe du Bout. It is also possible to approach it via excursions available in the area.
