About Hôtel L’Impératrice
A true institution in the heart of Fort-de-France, Hôtel-Restaurant L’Impératrice has embodied elegance and the art of Caribbean living since 1956.
With its ocean liner-style modernist architecture overlooking La Savane Park, this building—listed as 20th Century Heritage—has preserved its original charm while offering every modern comfort.
Mahogany floors, mosaic tiles, carved wooden beds, and vintage furniture give the hotel an atmosphere that’s both refined and timeless.

The Bar “L’Impé”
Since 1957, the Bar de L’Impératrice has been one of Fort-de-France’s most iconic meeting places.
It was the city’s first open-air café terrace, where artists, writers, and political figures once gathered.
Today, it remains a lively, friendly spot to enjoy a drink in the evening breeze.
Dinner service available.
