Habitation Belfort – Tour of a banana farm on a miniature train

Nestled in the lush countryside of Lamentin, Habitation Belfort is an iconic family farm that has been operating for over 40 years on a 65-hectare estate, mainly planted with banana trees.
The mini train tour is the highlight of the experience. Practical, fun and original, it allows visitors to explore part of the farm in complete safety. Accompanied by a guide, visitors discover all the stages of banana cultivation, from planting to harvesting: growing, cutting, stripping, washing and packaging.

The route runs alongside the Lézarde River and crosses an estate rich in tropical flowers (porcelain roses, balisiers, alpinias), coffee trees and fruit trees such as guava, breadfruit and mango trees, offering a complete immersion in Martinique's agricultural heritage.

The tour lasts approximately 60 minutes and ends with a tasting of local products made directly from the estate's fruit and vegetables.

Tours are available in French and English. The little train can accommodate up to 30 adults in its various carriages, making it an ideal activity for families, groups and schoolchildren.
