Inaugurated in 1885, the Grand Marché de Fort-de-France, or Spice Market, is the largest covered market on the island.
Under its large metal and glass hall, it is an explosion of colours and smells which welcomes you :
Fruit and vegetables from the farms
Vanilla, spices, peppers, bandé wood, arranged rums, energizing decoctions...
You will also find handicrafts as well as " small lolos " open at lunchtime, which prepare typical Creole dishes.
