Depaz rums owe their aromatic richness to a unique volcanic terroir: the sugar cane grows on soil derived from the ashes of the 1902 eruption, which is filtering and light, combined with optimal sunshine and trade winds. All stages of production - from crushing the fresh cane to distillation, maturing and casking - are carried out on site.

A visit to Château Depaz costs €5 per person, including a complimentary rum or punch tasting in the shop.
