A ceramist, a passionate person, an invitation to travel...

Catherine met clay in 2002: she took ceramics classes at SERMAC, trained at the Prometer school in Les Pennes Mirabeau, in Saint Quentin La Poterie, and with Anne Bulliot (France). What was then only a hobby became a passion, then a profession.
Four years later...

Catherine receives her first visitors in her small workshop nestled in the heart of a Creole garden, between the sea and the mountains on the heights of Case Pilote.
Nature and popular traditions shape her vision and nourish her inspiration. Each piece is a reflection of her personality, sensitive and tactile; she works with curves and lines with an assumed aesthetic, sublimating the mattness of the clay (raw or white), the resistance of the stoneware, the finesse and the bright colours (translucency) of the faience, the brilliance of the enamel. Some of her pieces are polished with a pebble and then smoked.
Catherine enjoys passing on her art and her passion for ceramics. She organises introductory workshops on Tuesday mornings and on request on Saturday mornings. A moment of sharing and exchange.
In addition to decorative objects, tableware and sculptures, she also makes cases for your bonsai and desert roses. In collaboration with YSNAY, she creates the containers in which the delicately scented plant wax candles are poured. With chef Matthieu Jolly, she creates plates that enhance his culinary creations.
Catherine also works to order and can deliver beyond the island's borders.
