Plage de l'Anse Trabaud

Beach in Sainte-Anne
  • Anse Trabaud, Martinique's iconic beach just a few kilometres from the town of Sainte-Anne, is a dream spot for sea and nature lovers. The beach is renowned for its sparkling white sand and occasionally choppy waters, ideal for bodyboarding and kayaking.

It offers a perfect balance of calm and rough waters. Although not very popular because of its slightly difficult access, due to a stony road and a modest toll, its natural beauty stretching for almost 1 km makes it a place of choice.

Not far away, the Savane des Pétrifications is an almost lunar landscape, offering a striking contrast to the surroundings of the beach. This arid area, once renowned for its fossilised wood, bears witness to the forest that once existed. Hikers will particularly appreciate the Trace des Caps trail, which starts at Anse aux Pruneaux and winds through this unique area.

Anse Trabaud is also popular with naturists, who find it a peaceful and respectful place to enjoy the beach in a spirit of freedom and communion with nature.

  • Location: To get there the path is a bit chaotic for about 4km. You will be intercepted at a toll of 2.50€ just before the car park. But the beach is so beautiful that it's worth it.
