Plage de la Pointe Borgnèse
-
Located in Le Marin, three minutes from Anse Figuier beach, Pointe Borgnèse beach is a hidden treasure, accessible after a short walk along a steep, stony path. This charming, shady beach, with its fine sand and clear water, offers magnificent views over the south of the island and the Canal de Sainte-Lucie.
The real secret of Pointe Borgnèse lies in its spectacular seabed, a paradise for snorkellers. At depths of between two and five metres, you can observe a rich marine biodiversity: coral fish, sea urchins, parrot fish, gorgonians and turtles. The area has been protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral since 2000, with a ban on fishing.
In the undergrowth, you'll discover the ruins of a pottery kiln and a lime kiln, evidence of intense human activity until the early 20th century. You can also enjoy a walk along the Morne Aca trail, revealing Morne Larcher and the "Reclining Woman". -
Location: along the N5, between Sainte-Luce and Le Marin, 1km from the roundabout of Anse Figuier, a small car park on the side of the road shows you the entrance to the stony and steep path that will lead you to the beach.
