The hotel-restaurant l'Impératrice has been an institution in Fort de France since 1956.
With its modernist "liner" style architecture in the heart of the city facing the Place de la Savane, and its building labelled "20th century heritage", the hotel is a great place to stay. -
With all the modern comforts, the 21 rooms and the entire site have retained the charm of the period: mahogany floors, mosaics, carved beds, collector's furniture, etc.
Standard room :
Cosy and functional, the rooms overlook either the pretty inner courtyard or the city's rooftops, they are ideal for short stays and small budgets. Room 54 has a view on the Bay of Fort-de-France and the Pitons du Carbet. Only available for 1 traveller.

The 15m² comfort rooms have a private balcony with a view of the Savannah Park. Decorated with care, they reflect the main ethnic groups of Martinique. Some are equipped with king-size bed or twin beds.

Elegant and spacious, decorated with vintage mahogany furniture, they reflect the art of living in Martinique. The bathrooms are spacious and some have bathtubs. Most of them have a terrace facing the Parc de la Savane, the Fort Saint-Louis and the Baie des Flamands.
Family room for 4 persons
With a surface area of 22m² and a chic tropical style, this room is ideal for a couple with 2 children.
The buffet breakfast is served on the first floor, in the "Céladon" restaurant or on its balcony overlooking the park from 6am to 9am on weekdays and on Sundays from 7am to 10am. It combines continental essentials (pastries, pancakes, cereals, choice of breads, yoghurts, cold meats, cheeses, hard-boiled and soft-boiled eggs, etc.), with the sweets of the West Indies (tropical fruits and fresh fruit salad, traditional chocolate, bread with butter, honey and local jams, local fruit juices, etc.).
On the 4th floor, the Fernande terrace overlooking the Savane park is ideal for your moments of relaxation and exchange.
Restaurant " Le Joséphine
On the first floor of the hotel, "Le Joséphine" welcomes you in its elegant colonial-inspired setting for the discovery of an authentic and refined Creole gastronomy (see "Where to eat" section).
Bar
The Bar de l'Impératrice was the first terrace café in Fort-de-France and is a real meeting place. Since 1957, artists, writers, intellectuals and important politicians from Martinique have met and mingled here. Open from Monday to Sunday (see "Going out in the evening" section)
