Fun and adrenaline with Cocofly

Today I’m taking you up in the air! On the program: parasailing and towed buoys at Cocofly in Trois-îlets. While you’ll need to make a reservation for the parachute, there’s no need to do so for the buoys.

Cocofly owners

   The Anse Mitan base

We’re welcomed on the Anse Mitan beach, right next to the pontoon, under their blue tent. Louise welcomes us.

Let’s be honest, I was a little apprehensive before coming, but Louise, the person in charge, reassured me and, above all, made me feel confident: ” Parasailing is a safe, pleasant and gentle activity! Don’t panic: you’ll love it!

Parachute ascension

a great experience !

Boat and Parachutes

The boat is specially designed for parachute take-off and landing, with a large platform where pairs and trios are invited to take their places. It’s important to remember that we always fly with a minimum of 2 or 3 people. It’s accessible to all, from age 4/5 upwards, the only requirement being a weight limit not exceeding 180 kg for all participants. For a double flight, a minimum of 80 kg is required. CocoFly offers 3 gliders, with wingspans ranging from 28 to 34 feet, adapted to the weight of the participants and the strength of the wind.

Safe takeoff

Antoine equips us on the boat, we don a lifejacket and are attached to the parachute bar by a harness. The boat moves slowly forward, and we begin to climb into the sky.

There’s no jolting or jolting, just the boat pulling away as the parachute gains altitude… We’re in a sitting position, like on a swing.

A 360° view of Fort-de-France bay

We head for Pointe du Bout and Fort-de-France bay. The view is simply sublime, and I let myself float away, as if in a cocoon. All is calm and silent, and in a few minutes we feel cut off from the earthly world. A feeling of freedom overcomes me, I feel like a bird… Seen from above, the panorama is breathtaking: white sand beaches stretch out in graceful curves, lined with coconut palms. The Caribbean Sea stretches as far as the eye can see, in shades of turquoise, blue and green. I can see the coral reefs, the seabed, the sailboats rocked by the trade winds, the waves sparkling in the sunlight, creating a moving carpet of light. It’s magnificent!

Looking down, I can see the whole of Pointe du Bout, Fort-de-France, the Pitons du Carbet, Montagne Pelée… It’s a real eye-opener. Martinique is definitely a beautiful island…

The return to the boat goes smoothly, with Antoine gently guiding our descent. The landing on the aft deck goes smoothly, without touching the water.

Rides last 15 minutes,

unforgettable, brilliant, unmissable! Save them in your diary.

Towed buoys

fun and adrenaline!

Canapé, Disque, Flyfish and Toupie promise thrilling, adrenalin-filled sessions. Less adventurous riders and young children can opt for a fun ride. It’s important to note that our instructors always adapt to their audience… It’s up to you to choose the buoy that suits you best!

As soon as the boat starts up, a sharp acceleration propels you along the water’s surface. Every sharp turn and leap over the waves elicits shrieks of joy and laughter, and the splashing adds to the excitement. It’s fun, it’s safe, I love it!

The sofa

This is anattraction for the whole family or just a group of friends: up to 6 people can get on board. You’re seated as if in a real sofa, holding on to handles, and the sofa is towed by a semi-rigid boat with a 200 hp motor. Then it’s off for a quarter of an hour of zigzags, loops and 8’s. The pilots adapt the speed and trajectories to each group. We hang on, we laugh, and we try not to fall overboard! The couch is accessible to children aged 5 and over, at adapted speeds.

The disks

The discs can accommodate 3 people, and the boat can tow up to 3 discs at the same time. If you come with 9 people, you’ll be able to sail at the same time. It’s a lot more intense, and you need to be at least 8 years old and in good physical condition, as you’ll be going through a washing machine!

You’re stretched out and clinging to the handles, the disc goes in all directions, shaking, taking off, turning and spinning. It’s hard not to get thrown off, but that’s the game! We’ve got a life jacket and the sea is 28 degrees, so all’s well. Gliding, adrenalin and thrills guaranteed!

Flyfish and Toupie

In July and August, Cocofly presents two other towed buoys for groups.

  • The Flyfish takes you on a crazy rodeo ride: thanks to the speed of the boat and the force of the wind, the buoy rears up like a mad horse (or a flying fish, as the name suggests!). Children aged 8 and over are welcome.
  • The Toupie is like a merry-go-round on the water, spinning at high speed. It’s the same principle as Disney’s mugs, but on water and more physical. For groups of 4 or more, ages 12 and up.

Both are very physical and very funny. Snow sports fans can’t wait for the summer vacations!

So parachute or buoy? Both, Captain!

Good to know

  • During school vacations, come before 1pm and benefit from a reduced rate (€10 per towed buoy session).
  • Reduced rates for groups: CE, summer camps, EVJF, EVJG
  • For parachute activities, bookings must be made in advance on the Cocofly website.
  • For towed buoys, you can come without an appointment!

We' d like you to do it for us !
