Isabellemole Isabellecreations Ducos Martinique– Hello Isabelle, thank you for having me. Before presenting your creations, could you tell us a little more about yourself, your background and your inspirations?
“I’ve lived in Martinique since 2001, and consider myself a true Martinican by adoption! Passionate about embroidery and sewing, I decided to make it my profession and launch myself into design. I’ve been drawing since I was a little girl, and I’ve always lived surrounded by fabrics! I come from a family of Lyonnais silk weavers, which is where I think my taste for aesthetics and refinement comes from! I started sewing as a retoucher for a Lyonnais designer renowned for his luxury ready-to-wear. This enabled me to work with beautiful materials such as silk and Calais lace. This experience was a great opportunity to learn and to set high standards. In 2007, I opened my own workshop, “Isabelle Créations” , because I could feel the demand and because, quite simply, I love it! “
