In the heart of authentic Martinique, located in Gros Morne, the Habitation Saint-Etienne - the stronghold of HSE rums - has a garden labelled "Remarkable Garden" by the Ministry of Culture since 2015.

A visit and a discovery walk are essential for this green setting, which is among the most beautiful gardens on the island.

A 5-hectare botanical park nestled along the Lézarde River. Habitation Saint-Etienne HSE combines all the qualities, offering visitors a unique architectural ensemble dating back to the early 19th century. Water is ever-present: waterfalls, streams, and ponds. Organized around several thematic areas, this remarkable garden boasts a collection of over 180 plant species from around the world: Caribbean royal palms, heliconias, a bamboo grove, an orchard, horticultural trees, red palms, banyan trees, annatto trees, calabash trees, alpinia, coconut trees, a zamana, lemon trees, queen palms; and a significant bird population, including the Kaïali, an endemic green heron. A collection of monumental contemporary sculptures on the theme of colonization, created by two committed artists, Philippe Perrin and Victor Anicet, blends seamlessly into this lush vegetal backdrop.
