Located on the Trace du Morne Rouge road, the Domaine d'Émeraude enjoys an idyllic natural setting that gives it a unique character: here, nature has remained king and blooms freely, sheltered from the tumult and clatter caused by Man.

Designed by the Parc Naturel Régional de la Martinique and awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, the aim of the site is to arouse visitors' curiosity and encourage them to observe nature as it is experienced on a daily basis. There's nothing staged here, just a showcase for our biodiversity in a splendid setting.

At Domaine d'Émeraude, you can hear the air, savour the smells and experience the sounds. The freshness of the place is a source of change of scenery and relaxation... a journey, an escapade, a wild flight towards unknown sensations. The Domaine d'Émeraude is an adventure, an idea of sharing and discovery, of exploration and escape in the heart of the region. Wonder and contemplation are instinctive, and everyone will experience a magical moment. A trip to Domaine d'Émeraude is an experience for the senses. As you gaze up at Montagne Pelée, barely concealed between the clouds, and listen to the mornes whistler lurking in the rainforest, time seems to stand still. The rugged terrain has been softened, giving way to carefully landscaped areas. The journey of discovery is punctuated by fun and rewarding stops. The landscaped forest Nearly 4km of walking trails accessible to young and old alike have been created. There are three routes through the forest, which is home to over a hundred native species. The Nature Exploration Pavilion Educational, instructive and great fun, this exploration pavilion is first and foremost a place where visitors can learn about Martinique's natural history. Vegetation, soil formation, fruit and vegetables, mangroves... the island's entire natural landscape is presented alongside quotes, proverbs and other regional poetry. Ingeniously structured, this interactive area can be used as an introduction or a beautifully illustrated conclusion to a visit to the Domaine d'Emeraude.
