-
The boat:
The boat ZAGAYA (arawak) - from the same name as the small crab found on the branches of the mangrove tree - is a motor catamaran that can accommodate a maximum of 12 people and is equipped with a canopy. With no draught, its ergonomics allow it to penetrate the heart of the mangrove without any problem.

The guide:
Bruno, a calm and expert captain, is an experienced naturalist guide. He shares with you his knowledge of the mangrove and its ecosystem. Passionate and fascinating, his explanations about the local fauna and flora are clear and are aimed at both the young and the more experienced. You will see and listen to nature live quietly thanks to his expert qualities. Bruno is also attentive to the protection of the coral reef and the mangrove.
The visit:
- The mangrove:
Fragile and complex, the mangrove is a unique ecosystem in Martinique. The one that you will discover with Bruno is located at the bottom of the bay "cul de sac" Marin. The immersion in the mangrove is done through a mangrove tunnel. This particular forest plays an essential role in the preservation of the environment. It is home to numerous animal and plant species. It is a place where marine species live and reproduce as well as an endemic fauna and flora. Bruno will teach you all he knows about this nature: mangroves, crabs, fish, birds... Exchange and conviviality are on the programme... A fascinating discovery.
- The seabed :
After discovering the mangrove, head for the Pointe Borgnèse marine reserve for 30 minutes of swimming and observation of the corals and fishes of the coral reef (snorkelling equipment provided).
- The cyclone hole :
On the way back you will pass by the "cyclone hole" of the Baude Island (an islet so discreet that it is difficult to distinguish it as it is so close to the coast and merges with the mangrove. It is a natural refuge for boats in case of bad weather), while enjoying a rum, planteur punch or homemade juice accompanied by a small snack "made by Bruno".
